Mike is a specialist in clinical decision making, medicine pricing and reimbursement and the patient’s experience of care.
Mike has advised FTSE 100 pharmaceutical companies, retailers, pharmacy chains, national governments, the European Commission and the Council of Europe. His work has been influential; he developed the pharmaceutical safety chain for the global pharmaceutical industry to reduce risks from the criminal trade in counterfeit prescription medicines; he provided major policy advice on the impact of the internet, electronic prescribing, telemedicine, artificial intelligence and prediction modelling on clinical decision making and patient care.
Mike has held appointments at EDS, ATKearney, McMaster University, University of Birmingham, London School of Economics and Hamilton Health Sciences/McMaster University Medical Centre and is currently a research fellow at the University of Kent and a member of TOPRA, the Organisation for Professionals in [pharmaceutical] Regulatory Affairs.
Mike holds a PhD from the University of Toronto in applied psychology and policy.
